Galvex will increase quality and production

According to latest industry reports, Estonian galvanizing plant Galvex announced that it aims to increase the quality and production of its galvanized strip in 2004. The annual production is expected to reach 300'000 tons this year. In addition, the mill is planning to receive ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certificates in 2004. The mill started production in November 2002 at its hot dipped galvanized mill located in Muuga, the industrial port of Estonia. Galvex exports mainly into Europe. Ferrostaal, distribution arms of Corus and Rautaruukki are the main customers of the mill.
