Freight volumes on China’s railways up 9.1 percent in 2018

In 2018, the overall freight volume transported on China’s railways amounted to 4.02573 billion mt, increasing by 9.1 percent, while the freight volume transported on China’s railway totaled 346.48 million mt in December alone, up 14.0 percent, both year on year, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
