Freight volumes at large ports in China up 102 percent in Jan-Nov

In the January-November period of the current year, freight volumes handled at large ports in China totaled 10.498 billion mt, up 102 percent year on year, according to the latest data issued by  China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT). In particular, foreign trade accounted for 3.31 billion mt of the total, up 101.3 percent year on year. 

Meanwhile, in the given period containers handled at large ports in China amounted to 192 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), up 104.2 percent year on year.
