France's steel product import value up 4.6 percent in January

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in January this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €838.7 million, increasing by 4.6 percent year on year.

In January, France imported €154.3 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 1.9 percent, €46.6 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 24.6 percent, €60.7 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 6.3 percent, €36.8 million of cold drawn wire - declining by eight percent, and €149.76 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 7.2 percent, all compared to 2018.
