France's steel product export value down 8.2 percent in January

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in January this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €857 million, decreasing by 8.2 percent year on year.

In the given month, France exported €205 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 113 percent, €42.35 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 16.1 percent, €55.9 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 3.5 percent, €28.56 million of cold drawn wire - down five percent, and €49 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 40.9 percent, all compared to 2018.
