France's steel product export value down 6.86 percent in Q1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-March period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €2.6 billion, decreasing by 6.86 percent year on year.

In the given period, France exported €416 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 33.8 percent, €120.3 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 3.5 percent, €163 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 5.4 percent, €89.6 million of cold drawn wire - down 9.1 percent, and €172.8 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 14.6 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
