France's steel product export value down 6.5 percent in H1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-June period this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €5.14 billion, decreasing by 6.5 percent year on year.

In the given period, France exported €824.08 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 38.7 percent, €233.97 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 2.5 percent, €310.57 million of cold rolled steel strip - down 11.3 percent, €172.29 million of cold drawn wire - down 9.6 percent, and €344.19 million of metal structures and parts - falling by 9.7 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
