France's manufacturing output in November last year decreased by one percent month on month, after a 2.5 percent month-on-month growth in October, and was up 4.4 percent year on year, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). In the September-November quarter of last year, France’s manufacturing output indicated an increase of 2.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.
In November, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 0.1 percent compared to October, after a 0.3 percent growth month on month in October. In the September-November period, the country’s production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous quarter.
On the other hand, in November production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry saw a decrease of 2.3 percent on month-on-month basis after a 4.7 percent month-on-month rise recorded in the previous month, while the output of the domestic construction industry decreased by 0.5 percent month on month in the given month after a 0.4 percent growth in October compared to September. In the September-November period, output of the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry increased by 6.1 percent and output of the domestic construction industry rose by 0.1 percent, both quarter on quarter.
