France's manufacturing output in September decreased by 0.6 percent month on month, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). In the July-September quarter of this year, France’s manufacturing output was down by 0.4 percent year on year and fell by one percent quarter on quarter.
In September, France's production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, was down by 1.5 percent compared to the previous month. In the July-September quarter, the country’s production in manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment, decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the previous quarter.
On the other hand, in September production of France's motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry fell by 3.9 percent on month-on-month basis, while the output of the domestic construction industry was up by 1.8 percent month on month in the given month. In the July-September quarter, output of the motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers industry fell by 5.9 percent, while the output of the domestic construction industry declined by 1.8 percent, both quarter on quarter.
