Finished steel inventories in China decrease during July

As of the end of July (July 31) this year, overall domestic inventories of the five main finished steel products in China totaled 7.806 million mt, down 320,000 mt or 3.94 percent month on month, as announced by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

In particular, as of the given date, domestic inventories of hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), common medium plate, wire rod and rebar amounted to 1.423 million mt, 1.405 million mt, 992,000 mt, 894,000 mt and 3.093 million mt, up 0.41 percent, 0.43 percent, 0.69 percent, down 8.47 percent and decreasing by 7.63 percent month on month, respectively.
