Final results of AD review on silicomanganese from Brazil

On January 31, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping administrative review on silicomanganese imported from Brazil. The review covered Rio Doce Manganês S.A. (RDM), Companhia Paulista de Ferro-Ligas (CPFL), and Urucum Mineração S.A. (Urucum) (collectively RDM/CPFL) during the period December 1, 2003, through November 30, 2004. The Department preliminarily determined that during the period of review, RDM/CPFL did not make sales of the subject merchandise to the US at prices below normal value during the period of review. Accordingly, it was found that a margin of 0.00 percent existed for RDM/CPFL for the period December 1, 2003, through November 30, 2004. Interested parties were required to comment on the preliminary results. Based on the comments received, the DOC decided to make a change in the margin calculation for the final results of this review. However, despite the change in the margin calculation, the final dumping margin does not indicate any change. Accordingly, the final dumping margin for RDM/CPFL is 0.00 percent for the period December 31, 2003, through November 30, 2004.
