Fifteen bids were submitted for Hanbo Iron & Steel

According to the recent industry news, fifteen domestic and foreign steel producers submitted bids for the assets of South Korean Hanbo Iron & Steel. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, Hanbo Iron & Steel went bankrupt after the crisis experienced in 1997 in East Asia. The favorite bidders are stated to be POSCO, Dongkuk Steel, INI Steel, Hyundai Hysco and Nucor Corporation.
