Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output up 8.3 percent in H1

Swiss-headquartered iron ore miner Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the second quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production increased by 1.6 percent quarter on quarter to 2.93 million mt.
 
In the given quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 2.1 percent quarter on quarter, amounting to 2.8 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 150,700 mt, falling seven percent compared to the previous quarter.
 
During the first six months of the current year, Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet productions amounted to 5.81 million mt, up 8.3 percent year on year. The company’s pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 5.6 percent to 5.5 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate doubled to 312,770 mt, both compared to the same period of 2014.
