Ferrexpo’s iron ore pellet output down 1.6 percent in H1

Swiss-headquartered resources company Ferrexpo, whose main interests are in Ukrainian iron ore assets, has announced that in the second quarter of the current year its overall iron ore pellet production decreased by 1.7 percent quarter on quarter to 2.84 million mt.
 
In the second quarter, Ferrexpo's pellet production from its own raw materials decreased by 1.7 percent compared to the previous quarter, amounting to 2.82 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate stood at 11,670 mt, rising 1.3 percent compared to the first quarter of this year.

During the first six months of the current year, Ferrexpo's iron ore pellet productions amounted to 5.72 million mt, down 1.6 percent year on year. The company's pellet production from its own raw materials increased by 3.6 percent to 5.7 million mt, while its pellet production from third party concentrate decreased by 92.6 percent to 23,200 mt, both compared to the same period of 2015.
