Exports of niobium ferroalloys from Brazil increase in December

Brazil exported 9,312 mt of niobium ferroalloys in December against 7,660 mt in November.

The exports in December were destined to Asia (7,149 mt, of which 4,384 mt at $25,978/mt to China), Europe (1,211 mt at $24,935/mt), the US (746 mt at $27,046/mt), Canada (71 mt at $24,919/mt), Algeria (60 mt at $24,066/mt), Saudi Arabia (55 mt at $24,035/mt), and South America (20 mt at $32,187/mt), all FOB conditions.

The exports were from CBMM, the world’s largest producing company (7,701 mt at $26,457/mt), and CMOC (1,327 mt at $25,025/mt), while 284 mt at $23,462/mt were exported from operations in the state of Amazonas.

The world’s largest producer of niobium ferroalloys, Brazil, exported 91,988 mt of the product during 2024, with total FOB revenues of $2.378 billion against 86,334 mt and $2.253 billion during the same period of 2023.
