Evraz UGOK (Southern Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise), a subsidiary of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, has announced that in March this year its iron ore concentrate production decreased by 0.6 percent year on year to 887,100 mt. Its output of agglomerate in the given month decreased by 14.9 percent year on year to 200,000 mt.
In the January-March period of this year, Evraz UGOK's iron ore concentrate production increased by 5.7 percent year on year to 2.736 million mt, while its output of agglomerate in the given period declined by 12.1 percent to 617,000 mt.
In 2013, the company's production of iron ore concentrate rose by 5.3 percent to 10.937 million mt, and its agglomerate output rose by 19.3 percent to 2.414 million mt, both compared to 2012.
