Evraz Holding develops new kind of reinforcing bars

Global steelmaking and mining giant Evraz Group S.A. is currently developing production of reinforcing bars with strength of 600 MPa, the technological properties (weldability, ductility, heat resistance, etc.) and high performance properties (corrosion resistance, fire resistance, endurance, etc. ) of which are due to the special chemical composition of the steel, according to the company's representative.

Evraz Holding company has tested experimental batches of the product, but the development process continues. The company's mission is to make the new product comparable in price with the most of the existing mass reinforcement, passing on a concrete economic effect to consumers.
