Evraz and Russian Railways ink memorandum of cooperation

Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group has announced that it has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Russian railway monopoly Russian Railways (RZD).

According to the agreement, Evraz will increase production of 100-meter rails. In this context, Evraz's subsidiary Evraz ZSMK will install a new finishing line which will double production. 

Evraz stated that the memorandum provides a framework for the signing of a new long-term contract which will come into force in 2018.
