European commercial vehicle registrations up 7.6 percent in January

In January this year, new commercial vehicle registrations increased by 7.6 percent year on year in the European Union, totaling 142,596 units, following the year-on-year decline recorded in December, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
 
Looking at the major markets, in January Spain (+31.2 percent), the UK (+21.7 percent), Italy (+2.4 percent) and Germany (+1.4 percent) posted increases, while new commercial vehicle registrations in France decreased by 8.6 percent, all on year-on-year basis.
