European commercial vehicle registrations up 3.9 percent in Jan-Oct

In October this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) rose by 6.9 percent year on year to 221,514 units, after slowing down in September, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

In October, all major EU markets performed well except Italy (-13.2%), with increases in Germany (16.9%), the United Kingdom (10.9%), France (7.3%) and Spain (1.7%), compared to October 2017.

In the first ten months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled more than two million units, up 3.9 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (7.9%), France and Germany (both 5.4%) recorded the highest increases, while Italy and the UK (both -2.2%) declined, all year on year.
