Euro area annual inflation up to 0.6 percent in November

Annual inflation in the euro area was 0.6 percent in November this year, up from 0.5 percent in October, according to a report released by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities. In November 2015, the annual inflation rate was 0.1 percent.
 
Meanwhile, in the European Union (EU-28) annual inflation was 0.6 percent in November, up from 0.5 percent in October. In November 2015, the annual inflation rate in the EU-28 was 0.1 percent.
 
In November this year, negative annual rates were observed in six states in the EU-28. The lowest inflation rates were observed in Bulgaria and Cyprus (both -0.8%), while the highest were observed in Belgium (1.7%), the Czech Republic (+1.6%) and Austria (1.5%).
