Annual inflation in the euro area was 1.9 percent in November this year, down from 2.2 percent in October, according to a report released by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities. In November last year, the annual inflation rate was 1.5 percent.
Meanwhile, in the European Union (EU-28) annual inflation was two percent in November, down from 2.2 percent in October. In November 2017, the annual inflation rate in the EU-28 was 1.8 percent.
The lowest inflation rates in November this year were observed in Denmark (0.7%), Ireland (0.8%) and Portugal (0.9%), whereas the highest annual rates were recorded in Estonia, Romania and Hungary (all 3.2%). Compared with October, in November annual inflation fell in 25 member states, remained stable in one and rose in one.
