EU-27 steel exports up 7.6 percent in September from August

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in September this year EU-27 flat steel exports reached 1.411 million mt, while long steel exports amounted to 929,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel exports in September totaled 2.34 million mt, up 22 percent month on month and increasing by 7.63 percent year on year.

In addition, in the first nine months of the current year total EU-27 steel exports amounted to 18.634 million mt, decreasing by 3.93 percent compared to the same period of 2010.
