EU steel imports down 34.43 percent in July

According to the European Steel Association (Eurofer), in the month of July this year flat steel imports into the European Union (EU) amounted to 968,000 mt, while long steel imports came to 218,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU steel imports in July totaled 1.186 million mt, down 5.72 percent month on month and down 34.43 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
