The European Commission has announced that it has started an antidumping (AD) duty investigation on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel of circular cross section of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 millimeters, originating in China.
The investigation was launched following the application filed by the defense committee of the seamless steel tubes industry of the European Union, alleging that imports of the product under investigation are being dumped and are thereby causing material injury to the EU industry. The investigation covers the period from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015.
The products in question currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7304 19 90, 7304 29 90, 7304 39 98 and 7304 59 99.
