EU initiates AD duty investigation for Chinese seamless pipes

The European Commission has announced that it has initiated an antidumping (AD) duty investigation regarding imports of seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel, of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 mm, from China.
 
The application was lodged by the defense committee of the seamless steel tubes and pipes industry of the European Union on behalf of producers representing more than 25 percent of total production of the product in question in the EU.
 
The complainant has provided evidence that imports of the product under investigation from the country concerned have increased overall in absolute terms and have increased in terms of market share.
 
The investigation will be completed within 15 months from the publication of the investigation notice dated February 16.
 
The products covered by the review are listed under the following codes: 7304 19 90, 7304 29 90, 7304 39 98 and 7304 59 99.
