EU imposes definitive AD duty on certain seamless pipe imports from China

The European Commission has announced that it has decided to impose definitive antidumping (AD) duty on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel of circular cross section of an external diameter exceeding 406.4 millimeters, originating in China.
 
Accordingly the definitive antidumping duty rates applicable to the abovementioned products range between 29.2 percent and 54.9 percent for Chinese companies.
 
The investigation was launched on February 13, 2016, following the application filed by the by the defense committee of the seamless steel tubes industry of the European Union. On November 12, 2016, the commission imposed provisional duties on the mentioned imports ranging between 43.5 percent and 81.1 percent.
 
The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7304 19 90, ex 7304 29 90, 7304 39 98 and 7304 59 99.
