In November this year, new car registrations totaled 1,121,162 units in the European Union (EU), decreasing by eight percent year on year, according to the latest figures issued by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In November, among the EU’s five big markets, Spain (-12.6%), Germany (-9.9%), Italy (-6.3%), the United Kingdom (-3.0%) and France (-4.7%) posted decreases, all year on year.
Meanwhile, in the first eleven months of this year new passenger car registrations in the EU increased to 14.16 million units, up 0.8 percent year on year. In this period, Spain (+8.0%), France (+4.7%) and Germany (+0.4%) saw their demand increase, while car demand in the United Kingdom and Italy declined by 6.9 percent and 3.5 percent, respectively, all on year-on-year basis.
