EU flat steel imports down 38 percent in Jan-Feb

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in the month of February this year European Union (EU) flat steel imports totaled 910,000 mt, while long steel imports amounted to 256,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU steel imports in February totaled 1.166 million mt, up 7.07 percent month on month and down 31.08 percent compared to the same month in 2011.
