EU-27 steel exports down 8.84 percent in August compared to July

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in the month of August this year European Union (EU-27) flat steel exports totaled 1.193 million mt, while EU-27 long steel exports amounted to 725,000 mt. Overall, EU-27 steel exports in August came to 1.918 million mt, down 8.84 percent from the month of July:

In addition, in the first eight months of the current year total EU-27 steel exports amounted to 16.318 million mt, decreasing by 4.37 percent compared to the same period of 2010:
