Gujarat, India-based steelmaker Essar Steel has announced that its flat steel production increased by 61 percent year on year to 1.48 million mt in the third quarter ended December 31 of the financial year 2016-17.
Meanwhile, in the given quarter, Essar Steel's crude steel production rose by 62 percent to 1.41 million mt, while its pellet output increased by 99 percent to 2.59 million mt, both compared to the same quarter of the financial year 2015-16.
