Essar looks to Bangladesh for capacity expansion

India's Essar group is reportedly considering a $1 billion investment in Bangladesh aimed at establishing a 450 megawatt power plant and a one million metric ton annual capacity steel mill. The investments are a part of the group's efforts to expand capacity . Jindal and Tata are the other major Indian steel makers who have recently made considerable investments in Bangladesh. These two companies have invested $700 million and $2 billion in Bangladesh respectively.
