Esfahan Steel’s semi-finished steel output rises by 20 percent

Iranian steelmaker Esfahan Steel produced 1.58 million mt of semi-finished steel (billet and bloom) in the first eight months of the current Iranian year, which started on March 21, 20 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Esfahan Steel also produced 1.83 million mt of long steel products (mainly I-beam, rebar and wire rod) in the first eight months of the current Iranian year, increasing by seven percent compared to the year-ago period, according to the same source.
