Esfahan Steel’s semi-finished steel output rises by 16 percent

Iranian steelmaker Esfahan Steel produced 968,000 mt of semi-finished steel (billet and bloom) in the first five months (March 21-August 20) of the current Iranian year, 16 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Esfahan Steel also produced 1,127,000 mt of long steel products (mainly I-beam, rebar and wire rod) in the first five months of the current Iranian year, remaining at the same level compared to the year-ago period, according to the same source.
