Erdemir steel service center subsidiary responds to strike decision

Turkey's largest steelmaking group Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (Erdemir) has announced that its steel service center subsidiary ERDEMİR Çelik Servis Merkezi San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (ERSEM) decided on a lockout on November 22 in response to the strike decision of the Turkish Metal Union. Negotiations between the parties are still in progress.
 
As SteelOrbis previously reported, Erdemir had received notification of the strike decision on November 22.
