EAFs to account for 50 percent of total steel output in Guizhou by 2025

The Implementation Plan of Carbon Peak in the Industrial Field of China’s Guizhou Province which has just been issued states that electric furnace steelmaking in Guizhou Province will account for 50 percent of the overall steelmaking activities in the province by the end of 2025.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, last week Henan Province announced that it aims to ensure electric arc furnaces will account for around 15 percent of the province’s total output of crude steel by 2025.
