Duferco Group returns to profit in fiscal year 2009-10

Swiss-Italian steel giant Duferco Participations Holding has issued its results for the fiscal year 2009-10.


Accordingly, in the fiscal year from October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010, Duferco's turnover reached $5.187 billion, rising by 0.6 percent year on year. EBITDA for this period was $127.9 million, compared to -$14.775 million in the fiscal year 2008-09. Meanwhile, net profit was $67.9 million, against a net loss of $102.6 million observed in the previous year.


In the 12-month period in question, Duferco Group increased its production by 36.1 percent year on year, while its distribution volume rose by 12.8 percent year on year.
