Dongkuk Steel targets sales of Won 7 trillion

Korean steel producer Dongkuk Steel Mills (DSM) has recently announced that it targets to increase its sales to Won 7 trillion ($6.07 billion) by 2008 through expanding production of flat steel products and establishing new logistics, shipping and construction companies. Sales of the company was recorded as Won 3.6 trillion ($3.1 billion) in 2003. Moreover, DSM produced 7.25 million tons of steel products in 2003. Won 5 trillion ($4.3 billion) of the total sales target is expected to be reached through flat steel products and the rest is expected to be reached through the investments in non-steel sectors as cited above.
