Dongkuk Steel makes progress building rebar facilities at Incheon Plant

As a part of its second-phase facility streamlining works, South Korean steelmaker Dongkuk Steel is currently carrying out construction of new rebar rolling facilities at its Incheon Plant, including a block mill stand, hot direct rolling equipment and QTB (Quenching and self-Tempering of Bars) equipment. The company said the progress rate of the construction works has reached 21.2 percent.

The block mill stand that the Incheon Plant of the company is constructing will have a rapid line speed of 42 meters per second, and the company will be the sole maker of no-twist rebars in South Korea when the mill is completed.
