Despite decline in steel production, Colombia’s industrial output rises in June

Colombia’s industrial output in June rose 1.5 percent, year-on-year, according to information from the nation’s statistics agency, Dane.

According to Dane, industrial sales in June increased 3.2 percent, year-on-year. The agency said that 25 out of 39 industrial segments interviewed showed “positive variations” in production.

The nation’s iron and steel industry was among the other 14 sectors that saw industrial output decline in June on a year-on-year basis. According to Dane, industrial production at the country’s iron and steel segment declined 9.5 percent, year-on-year.
