Deadline for WTO’s ruling on S201 measures extended for one month

According to market reports the WTO Appellate Body postponed the deadline for its determination regarding the appeal from Washington against dispute settlement body's (DSB) decision, due to the delay of completion of the report. The Appellate Body must now report its finding by November 10, 2003. The DSB's decision was ruling that S201 safeguard measures implemented on steel imports back in March 2002 were violating international trading rules. The previously set deadline was October 10.
