Deacero SA acquires Mid Continent Nail Corporation

Monterrey, Mexico-based steelmaker Deacero SA announced Friday that it has acquired Poplar Bluff, Missouri-based Mid Continent Nail Corporation. As a result of the acquisition, Mid Continent Nail Corporation will now go by Mid Continent Steel and Wire, Inc. with David Libla remaining its CEO and President. According to local media reports of the acquisition, there is a possibility that 100 more jobs maybe added to increase production in order to compete with global competitors such as China.
