Sweden-based mining and exploration company Dannemora Mineral has announced its operational results for 2012 and the outlook for 2013.

In 2012, Dannemora produced 939,000 mt of crude iron ore, including 492,000 mt of crude iron ore in the fourth quarter of the given year. During last year, the miner made shipments to European steelmakers such as Salzgitter, ArcelorMittal, Thyssenkrupp, Rogesa and UK-based Sahaviriya Steel Industries via Stemcor.

According to Dannemora, in 2013 its mine production of crude ore will reach full capacity, and the iron content of the crude ore will be higher than in 2012. As the crude ore capacity is expected to exceed the ore sorting plant's capacity, an expansion program will be implemented to increase the capacity of the sorting plant during the first half of 2013 with an investment estimated at SEK30 million ($4.63 million).
