Danieli Centro Recycling, the recycling technology unit of Italy-based plantmaker Danieli, has announced that it has been selected by Industrias López Soriano, a key recycling operator in Zaragoza, Spain, for the supply of a new high-performance preshredder. Industrias López Soriano will use the new unit to upgrade its existing shredder plant in Zaragoza.
According to Danieli Centro Recycling, the preshredder will ensure safe de-bulking of incoming material, reduce explosion risks, stabilize the feeding process and secure consistent throughput to the main shredder. The plantmaker stated that the equipment will also contribute to enhanced overall plant reliability.
Designed to handle a wide and variable scrap mix, the preshredder will be able to process up to 110 tph of mixed scrap and end-of-life vehicles, 100 tph of standard bales below 0.8 t/m3 and 90 tph of heavy bales below 1 t/m3. Danieli Centro Recycling said the equipment will provide high operational flexibility for the Zaragoza facility.
