Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) saw its net profit in Q4 decline 36 percent, year-on-year, to BRL 1.13 billion ($245 million), the company said on Thursday while releasing its quarterly results.
Net revenues in Q4 rose 8 percent, year-on-year, to BRL 6.52 billion ($1.4 billion), due to higher iron ore sales volumes. The steelmaker said steel sales volumes in the last quarter of 2019 reached 1.11 million mt, 5 percent down, year-on-year. Iron ore sales volumes in Q4 totaled 10.3 million mt, 5 percent up, year-on-year.
Adjusted EBITDA in Q4 was BRL 1.58 billion ($341.2 million), 1 percent up, year-on-year.
As for the full-year of 2019, CSN reported a net profit of BRL 2.24 billion ($484.3 million), 57 percent down, year-on-year.
