Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN) has reportedly postponed the restart of its No. 3 blast furnace from August to October, according to a media report.

A media report said the blast furnace was expected to resume operations on August 28, but the restart was postponed to October 28 due to delays while repairing the equipment.

CSN told local securities regulator, CVM, the repairs at the blast furnace are expected to not cause any relevant impact in the company’s operations. CSN said in a document filing it is buying slab from third party suppliers while it repairs the blast furnace.
