CSC increases domestic prices for Q4

At the meeting held on August 26, 2004, Taiwanese steel producer China Steel Corporation (CSC) determined to increase its sales prices for the domestic market for fourth quarter shipments. It is stated that the prices have been increased due to low inventory levels and increased demand. Moreover, CSC stated that they decided to hike prices to catch up to international market prices. Price increases, ranging between NTD 500-900/ton ($15-26/ton), on product basis are as follows:
