Corus improved a new and fast construction process

The Anglo-Dutch steel producer Corus stated that due to increasing terrorism and security concerns worlwide, they will start a new construction process. This new process, called “Surefast”, uses Bi-Steel, a finished product which is over 60% thinner than concrete reinforced bars, that saves time in construction projects when compared to the traditional building techniques by reason of the moduler system with simple connection methods. This product also requires the most effective blast protection which makes the material particularly suitable for offshore construction, i.e. oil and gas structures, as well as the construction industry generally. According to the company's statement the target markets of this product mainly is security, defence, public and employee safety markets.
