On November 18, Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) announced that its subsidiary China MCC5 Group has started construction work on Daye Special Steel's new steel bar project in Huangshi in Hubei Province.
The project in question has a designed annual output capacity of 900,000 mt of round bar, including alloy steel, stainless steel, and steel used in automobile, boiler and military applications. Construction work on the project will be finished in May 2015.
