Construction of new Iranian dock for handling minerals to be completed in 2012

The construction of a new dock for handling mineral materials in the Persian Gulf Mining and Metal Industries Special Zone (PGSEZ) is to be completed in the final months of 2012. The construction project has already progressed about 50 percent physically. The new dock will have an annual handling capacity of 6 million mt, and is being constructed beside another dock of the same capacity which is operating in the PGSEZ at present.  
 
The Persian Gulf Mining and Metal Industries Special Zone (PGSEZ) is located near Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf.
